MORE ABOUT ME

I'm Tessie -Welcome home!

So I know it’s kind of quirky, but I have a miniature collection 🙂

Ever since I was a little girl, I have been completely fascinated with tiny things!  I spent years going to antique stores looking for them.  Likewise, my family would always keep their eyes out and find little treasures to give me for my birthday or Christmas.

Once I left for college my collection got boxed up and was put away for years.  They had been in boxes for 14 years when I decided it was time to bring them back to life!

I knew I couldn’t display them in my old wooden printers trays (a little too country for me) so I decided to give it a little update.  I sifted through my collection, picked out my favorite things, and displayed them in this revamped printers tray!

To make the tray a little more up to date I spray painted it white and covered the back of each square with scrapbook paper.

Want a closer look?  Here are a few of my favorites…..

When we were living in England, we visited Bath (charming English town, think Jane Austen) and I found a wonderful little miniature shop.  I bought these pastries there….

I also bought this little “Botanical Sketchbook”.  The pages are filled with drawings of flowers.

I can not remember when or where I got this little box, but it has always been one of my favorites.  Inside is a tiny little thimble.

Here are some glass animals we bought while in Venice, Italy.  They are incredibly delicate.

And here are a few more of my favorites…

Top Row:  Harmonica (really plays),  Jack-in-the-box, book “Emma” by Jane Austen

Middle Row:  Dice (super tiny), pistol (trigger works), Venice glass animals

Bottom Row:  Pastries, book “Emma”, dice

I am still completely smitten with anything tiny!
