I'm Tessie -Welcome home!

Happy Mother’s Day Everyone! I know I am a day late but I just can’t spoil all my pretty projects and presents before the big day 🙂  So I am doing a little Mother’s Day recap.

I had an especially good week filled with lots of crafty projects and a lovely Mother’s Day Weekend. First off my mom had us over for a tea party on Saturday.

Tea Party

She bought pastries from a fabulous local bakery and served apple cinnamon tea.

We drank out of my Grandma Ethel’s beautiful china tea cups. My Grandma Ethel died before I was born so I never did get to meet her. Grandma Ethel would drink out of these teacups every week when she had all the ladies over for Bridge.

Drinking out of her cups made me feel like we had all four generations of girls together 🙂

This is my mom, Judy. She has been a constant support of unconditional love my entire life. She loves to dance, is an incredible story teller and a go getter in every way.

Mother's Day

After tea, we went outside and enjoyed the beautiful weather. Cora and Abby (my two oldest daughters) have been especially close lately. Seeing them laugh and hug and share their lives together is the best present a mama could get!

Since this week was mother’s day AND my mom’s birthday I wanted to make her something extra special. So I pulled out the water colors and made her these fresh blooms. I think I might need to make a few more for my own home.

I also had fun messing around with watercolors and sharpies to make some mother’s day gift tags.

My neighbor, Mandi from House of Crafts Handmade, had a ladies craft night on Thursday and she showed us how to make these adorable chalk painted mason jars.

I filled mine with succulents, tied on a little bakers twine and popped my gift tags on top.

Then I put all the jars in a little wooden crate and proceeded to take 5 billion pictures!!! I just could not get over how adorable these turned out!

And I just have to share our Mother’s Day Cards because they made me laugh so hard! The top one was for my mother in law (who is absolutely fabulous) and the bottom one was for my mom.

Are those not the greatest? I just couldn’t resist getting that pink one for my mom. She was quite a trooper with me since she had a home birth and I weighed 9 lbs. 13 oz. Yikes!

Happy Mother’s Day!!!
